About the Fund
Our History
During the late 1800s, electricians across the country were experiencing long hours, dangerous working conditions, few benefits, and low wages. However, these common causes brought them together and through union membership, electricians nationwide gained strength and negotiating power.
IBEW is the largest and strongest electrical union in the world.
Today, over a century later, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) is the largest and strongest electrical union in the world. And we are proud to say that the same principles adopted by union members at the turn of the 20th century still prevail today.
The 4th District IBEW Health Fund was established in 1965. We promote:
- Fair pay
- Safe working conditions
- Comprehensive benefits
